Ruthie Bell Gartman
Services for Ruthie Bell (Grissom) Gartman, 79, of Athens were held Wednesday, July 5, at Gordon-Foster-Brown Funeral Home in Athens.
Interment followed at Shelby Chapel Cemetery in Athens.
Mrs. Gartman died SJuly 1, 2006 in Athens. She was born March 24, 1927 in Navarro County.
She was preceded in death by her husband Enoch Cleveland Gartman in 1983.
She is survived by her three sons, Mark, Larry and Dennis, and daughter, Lanore Read, two sisters, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-granchildren.

Senna McFerrin
Services for Senna Ellen McFerrin, 84, Kemp, were held July 8, 2006, at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
McFerrin was born Jan. 25, 1922, in Lindsay, Okla.
She was a past Worthy Matron of the Farmers Branch Chapter No. 687 of the Eastern Star and affiliated with the Gun Barrel City Chapter No. 1114 of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her son William Clifford Smith Jr., Kemp; daughters Viva Lynell Smith, Kemp; and Mary Ellen Crenshaw, Allen; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; numerous family member and friends.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Mercy Hospice, Lewisville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Cancer Society of America or the charity of your choice.

Malinda Causey
Services for Malinda Estell Causey, 90, Mabank, were held July 7, 2006, in the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Jacobs officiating. Burial was in Payne Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Causey was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Brunswick, Ga., and died July 4, 2006, in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Charles Causey in 1986.
Previously of Denton, she lived in Mabank since 1983. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughter Tina Smith and husband Bill, Mabank; grandchildren Sherry Yvonne Hummel, Minot, N.D.; Susan Marie Stewart, Oak Point; and Dennis Wayne Smith, Denton; great-grandchildren Chris Smith, Jordan Smith, McKenna Smith, Josh Hummel, and Monica Havgen; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters Bertha Cason, Brunswick, Ga.; Dorothy Walters, Brunswick, Ga.; Maude Murray, Woodbine, Ga.; Geneva Gay, Kingsland, Ga.; Mary Girtman, Brunswick, Ga.; and Barbara Wallace, Tampa, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
