Born Annie Ruth Holley Sept. 9, 1943 to Boyd Lester and Gertie Bell Holley.
Annie stepped out of this life into the welcoming arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Nov. 25, 2020 at her residence. She rests in his loving arms awaiting the joyous arrival of her husband of 56 years, the Patriarch of the Clan, William Coleman (Buck) Wimbs.
Annie is the Matriarch of the Wild Wacky Wonderful Wimbs Family, a distinction she proudly proclaimed to everyone she met. She and Buck raised four strong, loving daughters Charlotte Ann (Don Thompson), Charlene Suzanne (Russell Woodruff), Tina Nicole (Donna Stinson) and Elizabeth RLeah (Christopher McClay). Annie called these daughters and their spouses her greatest treasure. Mom taught us that our sisters were our bond, that with them and God by our side we are truly blessed.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eddy Joe Holley, Kenneth Holley and James Holley and sister Barbara Holley.
Annie is survived by her grandchildren, their spouses and children Holley (Fletcher) Askin, Margaret and Connor Maxwell and their father Roger Maxwell, Joshua (Shata) Thompson, Micah, Paisley and Addison Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, KateLynn and Alekzander Thompson, Hillary Thompson, Sofie Barber and her father Wesley Barber, Elle-Anna Grayce Thompson and Ryker Thompson, Carrie (Heath) Langston, Sawyer and Fisher Langston, Jessica (Chance) Higdon, Jaden Cash and Brooks Higdon, Zackary (Tori) Woodruff, Reese, Zeke, Emeri and MacKenzie Woodruff, Chelsea (Greg) Dudley, Tamra (Sean) Gannon, Emma Gannon, Thomas Stinson and Oliveah McClay, brother Wiley (Brenda) Colley and sisters Marie (Curtis) Bond, Linda Hill and Regina Falk. As well as their families.
In lieu of flowers or gifts please share the love of Jesus Christ, make a donation to your church or to Visiting Nurse Association (Hospice) at GETHELP@NVATEXAS.ORG, clothe or feed a needy family as our mother has done on so many occassions.
There will be no services per mother’s request. Please keep our family in your prayers.
