Athens raid nets dealer with drugs, paraphernalia

HENDERSON COUNTY–Narcotics Investigators Kenneth Slaton, Gabriel Shue, and Wayne Nutt executed a Narcotics Search Warrant at 800 Cream Level Road in Athens, March 11 in the afternoon according to a press release by Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse.
The search warrant was signed by 392nd District Judge, Judge Scott McKee. Major David Faught, Captain Michael Shelley, Lieutenant Kyle Pochobradsky, Investigators Dustin Smith, William Thornton, Cynthia Clements along with Warrants Deputy Matt Jistel and K-9 Deputy Megan Hogan assisted.
During the execution of the search warrant, a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine was located in the residence, along with scales and baggies which are items commonly used in the distribution and use of the narcotics.
Kenneth Daniel Boone, 69, of Athens, was placed into custody for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, greater than 4 grams, less than 200 grams.
He was taken to the Henderson County Jail. He remains behind bars with bond set at $10,000.
