Billie Orvadeen King Rogers

Billie Orvadeen King Rogers, widow of Phil Waylan Rogers was born Nov. 2, 1944 in Athens  to Orven and Elmadeen King and passed March 16, 2020 at home surrounded by family.  
Billie was adored by many community members beyond her immediate family and enjoyed playing 42 dominoes.  She is a graduate of Malakoff High School class of 1963, Henderson County Junior College where she was captain of the Cardettes finishing 1965 and East Texas State University of Commerce (now known as Texas A&M University – Commerce) in 1973 with a Bachelors in Education.  
Her career spanned several decades in education retiring as a counselor.  
She is survived by her children Bobby and Magda Rogers, Phil and Debbie Rogers, siblings Gayle Webb, Fred King, Brady King and Terry King, grandchildren Haleigh Rogers, Clay Rogers, Cole Rogers and Cassie Rogers.  She has 11 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.  A graveside service will held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2020 at Old Bethel Cemetery in Phalba.
