Bobbie Wilmoth

Bobbie Wilmoth was born Sept. 24, 1929 in Princeton and passed away July 9, 2018 at her home in Kemp at the age of 88. She was an avid golfer and won championships at Lakewood Country Club and Cedar Creek Country Club. Bobbie loved playing games with friends, especially Poker and Bridge which she played every week until a few months ago. She enjoyed bowling as well and was on a bowling league as young as 17. Bobbie was legally blind more than half her life, but she had an amazing ability to see everything and was not slowed down by her disability. She was blessed with good friends over her years, especially Jo and Peggy, who called themselves the three musketeers with gray hair. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Will Wilmoth, daughter Jan Stuart, brother Joe Bates and sister Jackie Wilson. She is survived by her son Michael Wilmoth and wife Debbie of Gun Barrel City, daughter Sandra Gallion and husband Ellis of Kemp, grandchildren Jeb and Adam Stuart, Cheyenne, Joshua and Addison Gallion, great-granddaugh- Bobbie Wilmoth ters Kenadee Stuart and Zoey Gallion, sisters Tommie Ragsdill of Carrollton and Lynaveta Clegg of Flower Mound, brother Rick Bates of Lake Chapala, Mexico, many nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more friends. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Bobbie’s memory to First United Methodist Church of Mabank 501 S. 3rd Street, Mabank or (903) 887-3691.
