Bulldogs bite Wildcats with bats

EUSTACE–The Eustace Bulldogs put their bats to work as they mercy-ruled the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats at home March 23.
The Bulldogs allowed a single run in their 11-1 run-rule win over the Wildcats as they scored in all five innings of the game to win their first district contest of the season. 
Eustace opened the scoring with single runs in the first and second inning to take an early 2-0 lead. The Bulldogs increased their lead to 4-0 with two more runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Scurry-Rosser scored their lone run in the top of the fourth inning. Eustace created bigger separation with five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. 
The Bulldogs closed out the game with two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. 
Chris Garcia picked up the win with a complete game one-hitter. Garcia walked three batters and struck out eight, allowing one earned run. 
Cannon Kilcrease and Cade Adair led the way at the plate with three hits apiece. Kilcrease added two RBIs along with Christian Case driving in two runs. Ismael Maltos drove in three runs and scored three runs for the Bulldogs in the win over the Wildcats.
