Bulldogs enter bye week with shootout win

TIOGA–The Eustace Bulldogs won a high-scoring affair against the Tioga Bulldogs on the road Sept. 24.
Eustace and Tioga battled back and forth, but Eustace had the last laugh as they topped Tioga 42-35 to enter the bye week at 4-1 overall.
After falling behind 12-0, Eustace got on the board courtesy of a 10-yard touchdown run by Jake Haney made it 12-6 after a failed two-point conversion.
Christian Case put Eustace in front on a four-yard touchdown run, making it 14-12 after a two-point conversion.
A one-yard touchdown run by Brody Sutton increased the Eustace lead to 20-18.
Tioga moved back in front on a kickoff return to take a 25-20 lead over Eustace.
Haney added his second touchdown of the night on a 54-yard touchdown reception on a great pass from Case as Eustace moved ahead of Tioga, 28-25.
Haney completed the hat trick with his third touchdown on a 62-yard run to make it 35-25.
Case notched his second touchdown of the night on a five-yard run to give Eustace a 42-35 win over Tioga.
Case finished 1/2 for 54 passing yards and one touchdown pass. Case also had eight receptions for 110 yards and 10 carries for 22 yards and two touchdown runs. Brody Sutton went 10/17 for 148 yards passing for Eustace.
Haney wrapped up the night with 26 carries for 268 rushing yards and two touchdown runs. He added one 54-yard reception for a touchdown.
Eustace (4-1) enters the bye week before beginning their district schedule at home against the Malakoff Tigers (2-3) Oct. 8.
