Cecil Collum, 54, dad, son and granddaddy was called home Aug. 21, 2021.
He entered this world June 29, 1967 in Kermit, born to Joseph and Earline Collum Stanfield.
Cecil enjoyed life and letting the wind blow in his face as he rode his motorcycles. He worked in the oilfield, was a heavy machine operator, mechanic and his passion was building things. He had a talent for making things run better and faster than they did originally.
Cecil was preceded in death by his father Joseph Collum, brother Joseph “Joey” Collum, Jr. and stepdad Gary Stanfield.
He is survived by his mother Earline Stanfield, daughters Candie Collum, Brandy Collum, Heather Sampley and husband Sean, sisters Vivian Acy and husband Houston and Barbara Barker and husband Allan, grandchildren Alexus, Kayden, Jaizleigh, Brock and Brooklynn and his cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Aug. 24, 2021 at Payne Cemetery with Bro. John Morgan officiating under the direction of Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers were Brandy Collum, Candie Collum, Heather Sampley, Sean Sampley, Scott Holbert and Kelly Halbert.
