Connie Mae Fanning Myers

Connie Mae Fanning Myers, 72, formerly of Gun Barrel City peacefully passed away Aug. 13, 2021 surrounded by family. Connie was born Dec. 26, 1948 near Earth to Raymond and Glenna Fanning.
She was a graduate of the Richardson High School class of 1967. She acquired further education at the University of North Texas and Trinity Valley Community College.
After completing her education she worked as a professional model at the Kim Dawson Modeling Agency.
Upon marriage to Ron Myers in December of 1976 she decided to sacrifice her career to become a devoted wife and full time mother. She was active in her children’s education while they were in attendance of the Mabank Independent Schools.
Connie enjoyed life to the fullest. She always had an open door and contagious laugh. Her love of life was as beautiful as the plants and photography she enjoyed. As a result of her generous spirit and contagious personality, she was loved by many. Her influence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives by her son RD Myers and wife Regina, daughter Bonnie Samford and husband Carey, stepdaughter Michelle Gracy and husband Shawn and 11 cherished grandchildren and many beloved family members.
A service was held at Oaklawn Cemetery Aug. 29, 2021. The family would like to express sincere thanks to CaSandra McKinney Hospice Plus.
