Constable nabs fugitive

HENDERSON COUNTY–On August 15, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Henderson County Constable Brad Miers conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer on State Highway 31W inside Loop 7.  
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Brandy Collum, 33, of Malakoff. During the traffic stop, Constable Miers learned that Collum was wanted on two outstanding warrants.  
She was taken into custody. During a  search of the vehicle, Miers located a clear baggie with a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamines between the driver seat and center console.
Collum was transported to the Henderson County Jail and booked in for possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram, probation violation from a previous drug case (Henderson Co.) and a theft charge from Ft. Bend Co.  
Two other females were released from the scene that were passenger’s in Collum’s vehicle. Collum remains behind bars as of press time Wednesday.
