ATHENS–Sentencing is set for July 23 for Jesse Lucas Wilson in the Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child after his conviction in the 173rd Judicial District Court May 24. The jury convicted Wilson on two separate counts arising out of incidents occurring over a period of time beginning in 2013 and continuing over the next three years.
According to a press release, Wilson was 17 at the time he began sexually assaulting the 9 year old girl. At the time, his grandmother was in a relationship with the victim’s grandfather when Wilson moved to Henderson County to live with his grandmother. He started dating the child’s mother, and ultimately moved in with her and her daughter. Shortly thereafter the abuse began.
