Bobcats dominate Rattlers in homecoming shutout victory

CROSS ROADS–The Cross Roads Bobcats were dominant in their 46-0 homecoming victory over the Atlas HomeSchool Rattlers Sept. 25. 
The win was the first for the Bobcats since the fall of 2017 and a huge exhilaration for the standing room only crowd at Rock Tower Stadium. 
The defense got the scoring started for the Bobcats on a blocked punt that led to six points for Cross Roads. The Bobcats added the two-point conversion to take an early 8-0 lead over the Rattlers. 
A late rushing touchdown and a failed two-point conversion gave the Bobcats a 14-0 lead heading into the second quarter. 
Cross Roads added another rushing touchdown and another successful two-point conversion as they led the Rattlers 22-0 at halftime. 
A rushing touchdown, two-point conversion and a defensive safety increased the Bobcats lead to 32-0 in the third quarter.
The Bobcats added two more touchdowns in the final 12 minutes of regulation to seal a 46-0 victory over the Rattlers at home.
Cross Roads returns to the field with a 1-3 record Thursday, Oct. 8 against the Mildred Eagles at 6:30 p.m.
