Delbert Floyd Yelsma

Delbert Floyd Yelsma, 85, was born Feb. 28, 1936 in Ute, Iowa to Judson and Thelma Yelsma. He lived for most of his adult life in Seven Points. Delbert was called to Heaven Oct. 28, 2021.
Delbert served two years in the U.S. Army as a drill sergeant.
Delbert later learned the construction industry from his uncle “Buck” in Iowa before moving to Texas, eventually owning his own company. Delbert did concrete work, dirt work and construction, all over the United States.
Delbert also enjoyed being a Conklin Distributor for many years.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents Judson and Thelma Yelsma, brother Donald Yelsma, daughter Carmen Bapple and grandson David Bapple.
He is survived by his wife Caron Flake Yelsma, brother Paul (Julie) Yelsma, daughters Crystal (Lawrence) Barrows, Jennifer (Tim) Bressler, Amy Yelsma, Kay (Daniel) Dingler, Joy (Randy) Coffey and stepson Michael Suggs, 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at St. Peter Lutheran Church 130 Luther Ln, Gun Barrel City, TX 75156.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Peter Lutheran Church in memory of Delbert Yelsma.
