Kemp, Eustace and Malakoff players receive All-District superlatives

KAUFMAN, HENDERSON COUNTY–District 6-3A released their 2019 All-District football selections and superlative honors for this past football season.
The three teams include Malakoff, Kemp and Eustace that took home All-District honors.
Malakoff senior running back Keevie Rose took home the honor of District MVP for District 6-3A. Senior linebacker Colby Rush of Malakoff was named the Defensive MVP.
Kemp senior kicker Jonhatan Mendez was named the Special Teams Player of the Year.
Malakoff offensive lineman Julien Gonzales shared the honor of Offensive Linemen of the Year with Dallas Madison’s Ruben Bowman.
The Malakoff coaching staff was named the 2019 Staff of the Year after leading the Tigers to the Regional semifinals this season.
Players named to the First Team All-District on offense were Dedric Davis (Malakoff), Nathan Jones (Malakoff), Ethyn Irvin (Kemp), Wesley Kirchenbauer (Eustace), Kannon Hurd (Malakoff), Zamir Ruiz (Malakoff) and Hector Romero (Malakoff).
Named to the First Team All-District on defense were Zamir Ruiz (Malakoff), Tanner Mullins (Kemp), Dedric Davis (Malakoff), Trent McBride (Kemp), Cabien Trimble (Malakoff), Haydin Thomas (Malakoff) and Jaylen Mosley (Malakoff).
Players that took home Second Team All-District offense were Darion Peace (Malakoff), CJ Henderson (Kemp), Trent McBride (Kemp), Andreas Garrett (Malakoff), Grayson Craine (Kemp), Wilmer Melgar (Kemp), Colby Rush (Malakoff) and Luis Garcia (Eustace).
Taking home Second Team All-District defensive honors were Blake Welch (Kemp), Javion Hornbuckle (Malakoff), Luis Garcia (Eustace), CJ Henderson (Kemp), Jayden Galvez (Kemp), Gabe Jarvis (Kemp), Paxton Schwartz (Eustace) and Ethyn Irvin (Kemp).
All-District Honorable Mentions include David Austin (Eustace), Dakota Crittenden (Eustace), Luis Garcia (Eustace), JC Byrd (Eustace), Alan Lujan (Kemp), Travis Munden (Kemp), Jonhatan Mendez (Kemp), Alec Mullins (Kemp), Paul Ebbert (Kemp), Duce Hart (Malakoff), Riggin Smith (Malakoff), Iverson Sparks (Malakoff), Dylan Stearman (Malakoff), Broderick Killingsworth (Malakoff), Lance Robertson (Malakoff) and Ryder Rogers (Malakoff).
Academic All-District honors went to Cooper Cates (Eustace), Paxton Schwartz (Eustace), Sebastian Urtega (Eustace), Davis Austin (Eustace), Christian Case (Eustace), Wesley Kirchenbauer (Eustace), Ethyn Irvin (Kemp), Ty Roberts (Kemp), Trent McBride (Kemp), Barry Hill (Kemp), Haydin Thomas (Malakoff), Dylan Stearman (Malakoff), Brandon Nations (Malakoff), Conner Kale (Malakoff), Colby Rush (Malakoff), Cole Gaddis (Malakoff), Ryder Rogers (Malakoff) and Julian Gonzales (Malakoff).
