HENDERSON COUNTY–A Gun Barrel City man is behind bars after an afternoon raid in the 300 block of Old Highway 85 in Gun Barrel City June 11.
According to a press release from Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, Henderson County Narcotics Investigators Wayne Nutt, Kenneth Slaton and Gabriel Shue executed a Narcotics Search Warrant in the 300 block of Old Highway 85, Gun Barrel City at approximately 3:20 p.m. Tuesday. The warrant was signed by 392nd District Judge Scott McKee.
Investigators Dustin Smith, Tell Walker, William Thornton and Cynthia Clements assisted with the execution of the search warrant. James Paul Wilson was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine during the execution of the search warrant.
James Paul Wilson, 36, of Gun Barrel City, was placed into custody for Possession Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 greater than 1 gram, less than 4 grams.
Wilson was transported to the Henderson County Jail where, at press time, he remains with bond set at $8,500.
