Eustace holds off Scurry-Rosser

SCURRY-ROSSER–The Eustace Lady Bulldogs picked up another huge district victory over the Scurry-Rosser Lady Wildcats April 19 on the road after the game was pushed back due to inclement weather.
After being unable to play April 16, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Scurry and defeated the Lady Wildcats for a 9-7 victory. 
Eustace got on the board in the first inning when Alyssa Lane hit a solo homer.
Sophomore pitcher Emma Bell earned the victory in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs allowing nine hits and seven runs over seven innings, walking zero. 
Offensively, Eustace had nine runs on ten hits over seven innings.
Senior Alyssa Lane had a solo shot to right field in the first at-bat of the game in the top of the first inning. 
Bell led Eustace at the plate going 3-for-4. The Lady Bulldogs stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Emma Reynolds led the way with two.
Eustace is now 15-9 overall and 8-4 in district play.
