Eustace rallies in 29-run contest with Ferris


EUSTACE–The Eustace Bulldogs came out with the win a high-scoring game against the Ferris Yellowjackets March 8 at home.
After scoring the first six runs of the game, the Bulldogs trailed by six late before rallying with seven runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 15-14 victory.
Eustace rattled off six runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 6-0 lead over Ferris.
The ’Jackets answered back with a vengeance in the top of the second inning with a 10-run marathon.
The Bulldogs countered with two runs in the bottom of the third inning to cut the deficit to 10-8.
Ferris looked to put the game away with four runs in the top of the sixth inning as they increased their lead to 14-8.
The Bulldogs wouldn’t quit their fight as they bit back against the ’Jackets, rallying for a thrilling win as they plated seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning before closing out the win in the top of the seventh inning.
