KERENS–Father and son Kenneth and Curtis Williams were arrested on felony criminal charges June 11.
Kerens Police Officer Terry Jackson investigated the case after a 17 year old victim reported he was driving on a roadway within the City of Kerens. He clains that during the night he was surrounded and stopped by two vehicles driven by the Williams’.
Once the victim was stopped by the suspects, his vehicle was blocked by their vehicles and the suspects pulled the victim from his truck, knocked him to the ground and assaulted him. The victim said that the assault continued while he was lying in the roadway and his vehicle rolled into the roadside ditch. The victim stated he knew the attackers. The victim also stated the Williams were screaming during the assault, telling him to stop driving fast in their neighborhood.
Once the investigation was completed, Jackson presented an arrest warrant affidavit to a Justice of the Peace, Magistrate who determined enough probable cause existed for the issuance of an arrest warrant for both kenneth and Curtis Williams.
