GUN BARREL CITY– The Gun Barrel City Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 5:52 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in the 100 block of Tanglewood Drive. Upon arrival, flames and smoke were visible coming from underneath the residence.
Gun Barrel City Fire Fighters, along with Payne Springs and Mabank, were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
“The house and contents suffered fire and smoke damage,” said Fire Chief Gun Barrel City Fire Department Joseph Lindaman. “I truly appreciate the fast response by Payne Springs and Mabank Fire Departments. Their support was critical in this incident.”
The residents were home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries to them or the first responders.
