Funeral services for Georgiabel Rozell were held at Anderson-Clayton Kemp Jan. 29, 2020.
Georgiabel was born Aug. 10, 1927 in Kemp to parents George and Ruth (Johnson) Ballard and entered into eternal rest Jan. 26, 2020 in Forney at the age of 92.
As a child, Georgiabel enjoyed playing at her father’s syrup mill and going to the Lively store to get Mr. Goodbars. She knew she always wanted to be a wife and mother, and Sept. 2, 1944, she married the love of her life Charles Edward Rozell.
She loved being a wife and was always proud of her husband’s accomplishments and later she was able to see the accomplishments of her four children and eventually their growing families.
Georgiabel was a charter member and organist at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Kemp. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching the birds and listening to wind chimes on her back porch.
In her free time, she enjoyed sewing clothing for her children, crocheting gifts for family and friends, playing the harmonica and organ, and cooking. Georgiabel loved the color purple and was the church historian.
Georgiabel was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Rozell, parents, siblings Garland Ballard, Martha Scott and Myrtle Ballard.
She is survived by her son Kenneth Rozell and wife Vickey of Forney, daughters Janiece Jones and husband Buddy of Crandall, Ava Nell Rust of Euless and Ruth Ann Adams of Euless, grandchildren Charles Jones, Darren Rozell, Michael Jones, Lisa Hawkins and Sandy Adams, 10 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and many more loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage donations to Hillcrest Baptist Church Mission Fund.
