Gerald Van Huckabee

Gerald Van Huckabee of Wills Point went home to his heavenly father Jan. 28, 2021.  
Gerald was born Nov. 11, 1943 in Athens to Aubrey Lee Huckabee and Elizabeth Swain Huckabee.  
Gerald was a servant of God. He was called to preach his word and lived what he believed.  He pastored churches, he was an evangelist.  He had a love and passion for tent revivals.  He and his wife Sharon traveled and held revivals where many souls were saved. He also spent many years working at Canton Marketplace and Trades Days.  He enjoyed meeting so many people during this time.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Daniel Huckabee and Kenneth Huckabee, sisters Cheryl Huckabee, Faye Cooper, Charlsie Reed and Margie Hardy.
He is survived by the love of his life, his beautiful wife of 19 years Sharon Huckabee, children Gerald Van Huckabee, II, Joanna Woodard, John Gregory Huckabee, Angela Brewington, Kenny Lee Huckabee, Hope Reed, Dean Bates, Gail Dollarhide and Dona O'Bannon, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial service for Bro. Gerald will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 at Round Flat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.
