Hazel Maxine Swaner

Funeral services for Hazel Maxine Swaner were held Aug. 13, 2019 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank with Bro. Jerry Roach officiating. A graveside service followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank.
Hazel was born April 1, 1939, in Yuma, Tenn., and entered into eternal rest Aug. 8, 2019, at the age of 80. She graduated from Clarksburg High School and worked as a seamstress for 30 years.
Hazel was a strong willed, very opinionated spitfire. She was a good woman and very loyal. Hazel was an avid reader and enjoyed watching TV.
She was an exceptional person who will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents Lyles and Joanne, husband Perry Pefuhl, brothers Wayne Hodge and Huey Hodge, sisters Margaret Seaton, Iris Ellington and Martha Douglas.
She is survived by her husband of four years William Swaner of Gun Barrel City, son Joseph Pefuhl and wife Tina of Waxahachie, grandchildren Hannah Martinez of Arlington and Kasie Askren of Buford, Ohio, great-grandchild Arabella Martinez, sister Barbara Roach and husband Jerry of Tenn., brother Ivan Hodge and wife Jamie of Jackson, Tenn., brother Tyler Hodge and wife Donna of Xenia, Ohio, sister Janie Cobb of Hollow Rock, Tenn., other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
