Jackie Elizabeth Lindsey went home to Heaven May 19, 2019 surrounded by her loving husband and two daughters. Born to Pete Gothard and Joyce Riner (Stephens), Jackie was born November 14, 1951 in Dallas, where she grew up and attended North Dallas High School.
Jackie was an exceptional country dancer, comfort food cook and avid bowler in her younger years. She loved dancing with her brothers, however her favorite dance partner was always her husband, Robert.
In recent years, she was an avid game show and classic sitcom lover, loyal Dallas Cowboy fan, she single handedly ran the “Nana Hotline” for her grandkids and was a devoted mom to her three fur babies-Foxy, Bumper and Sam. She loved every moment with her husband, children and grandchildren, and they loved her back with their whole hearts. She will be missed immeasurably.
Jackie was preceded in death by her son SirJoe, sister Brenda Pass and brothers Stevie Riner, Glenn Riner and Wesley Gothard.
She is survived by her mother Joyce Reiner, her devoted husband of 39 years, Robert Ellis Lindsey, her sister Wanda Rollins, husband Jacky, brothers David and Ricky Riner, daughters Tamitha Curiel and her husband Chris, Carmon “C.J.” Watts and her husband John, stepson Brent Lindsey and his wife Lisa, step-daughter Shay Hernandez and her husband Michael and four grandchildren Chazney Curiel, Caleb Curiel, Chloe Curiel and Brent Lindsey, II, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends who’ve experienced Jackie’s natural ability to love unconditionally and give generously under any circumstance.
She will never be forgotten by those who knew her. Her spirit will live on not only through our memories, but in how we follow her example in how we love each other.
A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Gun Barrel City.
