James (Jim) Madison Clark was born in Navarro County near Dawson Oct. 3, 1929 to parents James Lee Birter Rosser and Claudia Faye (Spradlin) Clark and entered into eternal rest Jan. 11, 2020 at the age of 90.
Jim married Wanda Hollister Sept. 26, 1953. They had three sons and one daughter. He worked as a mechanic and salesman at Flanagan Chevrolet, Newton Chevrolet, Teague Chevrolet, Williams Chevrolet and Tri-County Ford.
He volunteered with Mabank Fire Department, where he served as Fire Chief for several years. Jim was a Scout Leader with the Boy Scouts of America. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Birter and Claudia Clark, granddaughter Rachel Clark Perry, brothers J.L. Clark, John Carroll Clark, Pete Clark and Floyd Clark, sisters Jesse Mae Cabiness, Ruby Tapp and Estelle Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife Wanda Clark of Mabank, children James Clark and wife Vicky of Mabank, Andy Clark and wife Lorrie of Mabank, Vicky Watters and husband Mike of Martins Mill and Kerry Clark and wife Teri of New York, grandchildren Shaun Clark, Justin Clark, Aaron Clark, Michael Watters, Jr., Clark Watters, Amanda Endsley, Casey Clark and Matt Clark, eleven great-grandchildren, brother Birt Clark and wife Francis of Mabank, sisters Helen Dubose of Mabank and Julia “Liz” Simonetti and husband John of Mabank, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
