Funeral services for Janice Lorraine Byers were held Aug. 13, 2018 at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank with Mr. Eric Houck officiating. Interment followed the service at Payne Springs Cemetery. Janice was born Sept. 7, 1944 in Granite, Okla., to parents Herman Leonard and Bessie Venus (Lively) Houck and entered into eternal rest Aug. 9, 2018 at the age of 73. She graduated from Mangum High School in Mangum, Okla., in 1962. Janice married the love of her life, Jimmie Byers Sept. 21, 1972. She worked many years for Mary Kay, retiring in 2008. Janice collected Barbie dolls and loved spending time with her family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and sister. Janice will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jimmie Byers. She is survived by her son Chris Buchanan and wife Sue of Seagoville, daughter Terri Tate of Kaufman, stepson David Byers and wife Danette of Stockton, Calif., stepson Ricky Byers of Stockton, Calif., grandchildren Holly Mohler, Samantha Phillips and Michael Dabney, Jr., great-grandchildren Blake Mohler, Tatum Phillips, Emmalee Phillips and Graycie Phillips, brother Gary Houck and wife Loufine of Mangum, Okla., brother Marion Houck of Mangum, Okla., sister LaWana Weaver and husband Dale of Smithville and other loving family members and many lifelong friends.
