Funeral services for Jerald Cashion were held May 8, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp with interment immediately following at Kemp City Cemetery.
Jerald Dolen Cashion was born the youngest of three children in Kemp, April 30, 1936 to parents Lena and Andy Cashion and went home to be with the Lord, May 5, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.
Jerald was a Christian by faith and owned and operated Cashion Construction Company until the 1970s. He was a well-known fixture of the Cedar Creek Lake area. Jerald was known for his integrity and talent in the building business. He retired and enjoyed his time with his animals, his friends and his family.
Jerald was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen Cashion and sister Velvee Cashion both of Kemp.
He is survived by his friend Doris Olmstead of Kemp, sons Jay Cashion of Payne Springs and Dennis Esch and wife Hettie of Nacogdoches, daughter Sarita McCawley of Payne Springs, 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way, other loving family members and many more friends.
