Jo Ann Maxey

Funeral services for Jo Ann Maxey were held May 4, 2019 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank officiated by Bro. Johnny Morgan.
Jo Ann was born Oct. 15, 1941 in Lambert, Miss., to parents Walstine and Ruby Mae (Helms) Goode and entered into eternal rest April 30, 2019 at the age of 77.
Jo Ann married the love of her life, Bobby Cleveland Maxey, Nov. 16, 1957 in Marks, Miss.
Jo Ann was an exceptional lady, strong, generous and had a beautiful heart. She would go to great lengths to help anyone in need. Jo Ann never said the word “No”, to anyone.
Jo Ann enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting and decorating. Jo Ann would come to your house and redecorate, even after you decorated.
Jo Ann was a Southern Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star. Jo Ann was a very loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Cleveland Maxey who passed in April of 2018 and brothers Dub Goode, Sonny Goode and Buddy Goode.
She is survived by her sisters Lu Goode of San Angelo and Marie McKinney of Greenville, brothers Bubba Goode and wife Carol of Burleson, Jerry Goode and wife Rosie Faye of Lambert, Miss., and Larry Goode and wife Becky of Sanger, daughters Cindy Duggan and husband Van of Seven Points and  Carla Maxey of Malakoff, son Cleve Maxey of Malakoff, grandchildren Randa, Tye, Blake and Darby, four great-grandchildren and other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
