Judy Ann Johnson

Judy Ann Johnson, 73, passed away Sept. 15, 2019. She was born Jan. 27, 1946, in South Bend, Ind., to the home of Richard J. and Roma E. Acton.
She loved quilting, card and domino games, traveling and hanging out with her grandkids. She made beautiful quilts for all her loved ones and you couldn’t beat her at dominos!!
Her travels took her, Pops and Kellie all over the U.S. in their camper. She also loved the beach and going on cruises.
All her life, she was a huge Notre Dame fan and loved watching her team on television.
Judy was a member of Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool. Over the years, Judy has volunteered with the Scouts, food pantries and the Tool Fire Department. As a child, she was a Rainbow Girl.
She had a great sense of humor and joked and loved to laugh. She was loved by everyone and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judy is survived by her husband Stephen Johnson, children Stephanie Baxter and husband Leland Wharton, Jennifer Kimbrew and husband Jerome, Glen Johnson and wife Lisa and Robert Johnson and wife Amy, grandchildren Jesse, Josie, Matthew, Glen, Adam, Mary Michael, Steven, and Matthew, brother Charles Acton and wife Kathleen and her favorite kid Kellie the Golden Retriever.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Judy at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at Moorhead Epps Funeral Home, 715 E. Main Street, Gun Barrel City. Lee Wharton will officiate for the Johnson family.
