Kerens cheer earns top honors at State competition

Kerens Varsity and Junior High Cheer competed at the NCA State of Texas Championship Competition Dec. 15 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center in downtown Dallas and walked away with the following Top Honors/Awards: In the 2A Game Day Division, Kerens Varsity takes home first place in Band Chant, making them NCA State Champions. They also take second place in Fight Song and third place for Crowd Leading Cheer. In the JH Game Day Division (1A-6A), Kerens JH takes fifth place in Fight Song, sixth place in Crowd Leading Cheer and ninth place in Band Chant. In the Mascot Division,
Kerens High School students Alice Billingsley (Betty Bobcat) and Tiara Bailey (Brittany Bobcat) finish as Finalists with Kerens JH student Marco Torres (Bobby Bobcat) also finishing as a Finalist.
