Lady Panthers tame Lady Lions in district opener

The Mabank Lady Panthers start the season with a win on the books.  A quick goal after kickoff by Makenzie Stephens put the Lady Panthers in sport-mode. Lexi Martinez scored next on a penalty and then Angel Anderson ended the half with the third and final goal. Kaufman adjusted during halftime and tightened up their defense to hold the Panthers to three but that left them scoreless as the clock ran down as Mabank closed out a 3-0 shutout win to begin district play 1-0 against the Kaufman Lady Lions.
