CEDAR CREEK LAKE–After being reported missing, the body of 71-year-old Vary Sounthivong of Mabank was found in Cedar Creek Lake near Tom Finley Park.
A concerned citizen made the call to law enforcement concerning Sounthivong’s disappearance around 8:30 a.m. April 20. After Gun Barrel City police responded to the call they located a pickup truck and fishing equipment at the park.
A search was conducted for Sounthivong which lasted all day and into the afternoon of April 20.
