KERENS–The National Day of Prayer service was held in Kerens on May 3 in our library. The service was most moving, and it was attended by more than 50 people. The service was originally planned to be held in downtown Garden Park, but the rains were on their way and the service was moved inside just before 11 a.m.
The theme for this year’s service was UNITY. It emphasized that our nation needs to come together in many areas today and seven were the subject of prayers and the spoken word. The bulletin read: “How To Pray for The Seven Centers of Influence in America.” The seven centers named are Government, Military, Media Arts, Business, Education, Church and Family.
