Navarro County reports three new cases

NAVARRO COUNTY–Navarro County reported nine recoveries and three new cases of COVID-19 April 20. Cases have been confirmed throughout the county in Corsicana, Barry, Kerens, Powell and near Rice, Dawson and Emhouse.
The Corsicana-Navarro County Public Health Department now reports that of the county’s 23 cases, 12 are currently considered active. To date, 272 people have been tested, with 14 still pending results, two deaths and nine recoveries.
“Stay Home, Stay Safe” Emergency Declaration Orders in place for Navarro County through April 30. These orders are for the City of Corsicana and the unincorporated areas in Navarro County.

Residents are asked to remember social distancing guidelines, especially in large retail stores. Also, if you have an employee who is sick, please ask them to stay home.
County stakeholders continue to meet daily to discuss current conditions, unmet needs and operational procedures for every sector. City and county leaders are researching additional steps to help stop the spread.
