KERENS–The Kerens Library has been closed since March 25 but will be re-opening slowly.
We are here from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and starting June 22 people will be allowed in the library. No more than six at a time and there will be two computers available for use. Hand sanitizer will be at the entrance and anyone entering must sanitize and also sanitize when they leave. Children under 12-years-old will not be admitted at this time.
Books may be checked out and faxes may be sent and copies made. The price is the same at $1 per page for faxes and $.15 per page for copies.
Our children’s program is different now. Starting June 10, volunteers will be outside from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. handing out gift packets with activities for children from ages four to 12 to do at home. This will continue every Wednesday until July 8.
The Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival is on Oct. 17 so mark your calendars for a day of fun on the brick streets of Kerens. Vendor booth forms are at the library or can be obtained from the festival website. That’s the latest news from the Kerens Library. We look forward to the day when we can re-open more.
