No serious injuries during high-speed race through town
SEVEN POINTS–A speeding white truck landed in an abandoned building on East Main Street in Gun Barrel City Saturday afternoon after racing recklessly through the city. The driver, identified by police as Michael Townsend, 49 of Tool, had to be checked out at the emergency room in Gun Barrel City before being booked into the Henderson County Jail with minor injuries. He is being held on bonds totaling $11,500.
According to a press release, police noted his erratic driving at high speeds in Seven Points, when officer Lewis attempted a traffic stop at around 4 p.m.
