Patsy Underriner

Patsy entered this world on Valentine’s Day of 1928 and passed away Dec. 19, 2021. 
The first child of W.E. and Jewel Crowe, she was soon joined by sisters Barbara Crowe (Webb), Linda Crowe (Symns) and brother Bruce N. Crowe. 
The family settled in Olney and Pat graduated from Olney High School. She became the first member of the family to attend college. 
While at Texas State College for Women in Denton, she rode the train from Denton to College Station and while on a blind date met C.F. Underriner, Jr, who would become her husband. They were married at “The Little Chapel in the Woods” in Denton and she embarked on her career of Life Partner to a man who would become a Petroleum Engineer for Mobil Oil Co. 
Their first son C.F. Underriner, III arrived in 1953 and second son Kenneth E. Underriner would soon follow in 1954. 
In 1973 she made the biggest change in her life, following her husband to a posting in Lagos, Nigeria in West Africa and subsequent postings followed to Medan and Jakarta, Indonesia. They retired to Cedar Creek Lake in 1984 and Pat became involved in Golf, Tennis and Bridge. She was a member of the Mabank Garden Club and various other book and study clubs and was an active member at FUMC Mabank. 
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Charles F. Underriner, III, grandson Kenneth Tyler Underriner, great-grandson William Chandler Underriner, sisters Barbara Webb and Linda Symns and brother Bruce N. Crowe. 
She is survived by her son Dr. Kenneth Underriner and wife Sharon, grandchildren Kathryn Underriner, Emily Legault and husband Brian, Charles F. Underriner, IV and wife Martha, Keith R. Underriner and wife Mandy, granddaughter-in-law Ashley Underriner, daughter-in-law Julie Underriner Muth and husband Phil, great-grandchildren Lydia and Luke Legault and Jack Andrew Underriner, nieces Rhonda Webb Henry and Melissa Webb Essary. 
A graveside service was held Dec. 22, 2021 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank. A Celebration of Life will  follow at 1 p.m. Jan. 8, 2022 at at FUMC Mabank. Memorials can be made to FUMC Mabank, 501 South 3rd St. Mabank, TX 75147.
