Sheriff’s Office seeks information from public
HENDERSON COUNTY–Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are seeking information from parents whose children may have attended parties in the Indian Harbor subdivision after an Indian Harbor man was taken into custody and charged with online solicitation of a minor.
Members of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 6141 Apache Drive in the Indian Harbor subdivision near Payne Springs Dec. 5.
The search warrant was signed by 392nd District Court Judge Scott McKee. Investigators received information the resident, Robert Luther, hosts parties for underage high school kids where he provides them with alcoholic beverages (trash can punch), marijuana and prescription Xanax bars.
There was also information that Luther had sent sexually explicit text messages to underage females. Armed with this information investigators interviewed several underage high school students who confirmed Robert Luther would provide marijuana and alcoholic beverages at his parties and either sell the drugs or give them away.
After gathering enough information, Investigator Jerry Corder sought an arrest warrant for Luther and a search warrant for his residence.
Prior to the execution of the search warrant, Luther was stopped on a traffic violation in Gun Barrel City by member of the Henderson County Narcotics Unit who placed him under arrest.
The search warrant at Luther’s residence was conducted by Henderson County Criminal Investigators and yielded marijuana, electronic devices as well as several stolen items.
Investigators are still conducting interviews and urge anyone whose children go to parties in the Indian Harbor Subdivision, specifically 6141 Apache Drive to contact the Sheriff’s Office and speak to Investigator Corder.
Robert Luther is currently charged with online solicitation of a minor and more charges are expected.
