Raymond (Ray) Leo Carvalho

Raymond (Ray) Leo Carvalho, age 68, died of Acute Myeloid Leukemia Aug. 4, 2019, in Tyler.
Ray was born Aug. 29, 1950, in Fall River, Mass., to parents Alfred Leo and Florina Anita Carvalho. He married Ja Carvalho Dec. 23, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Ray’s career of many years was in the field of electrical wholesale which took them to Tulsa, Okla., where he retired from Gexpro in July of 2015.
Following Ray’s retirement, he and his wife Ja, moved to Gun Barrel City and bought a house on the lake which was their dream plan. He enjoyed sitting on their deck watching all the ducks and other wildlife birds, boating, fishing, shooting pool and watching crime detective shows, but had a real knack for word search puzzles.
 His family and friends will always remember him as a fun loving person and will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father Alfred Leo Carvalho.
Ray is survived by his wife Ja Carvalho of 15 years, mother Florina Anita Roux Carvalho, daughter Barbra and siblings Paul Carvalho  and wife Carol Gaab, Denise Carvalho, Brian Carvalho, Terri Lynn Carvalho, Bruce Carvalho and wife Linda and Diane Carvalho Sacksteder, grandchildren Kaylee Collins, Brent Chandler Albury, Christopher James Urbancik and Johnny Layne Urbancik, nephews Luck Carvalho and Walsh Carvalho, stepsons Joe Moore, Ian English and Henry Moore,  numerous brother and sisters-in-law who loved him dearly.
A memorial service was held Aug. 8, 2019, with a lunch reception that followed.
