RECORD VOTERS TURN OUT AT THE POLLS

HENDERSON COUNTY–With a record number of voters turning out to vote in the Nov. 3 general election, voter turnout has surpassed the totals of the 2016 election. 29,853 total voters cast their vote early. Either in person or by mail.
Here is a roundup of known winners for Henderson County. These results are counted as they came in, as of press time. 
Gun Barrel City Council, Place two Rita Evans, Place four Anne Mullins and Mayor David Skains ran unopposed. 
State Representative District 10, Republican Jake Elizey took 80% of the votes against Libertarian Matt Savino. 
State Representative District 4, Republican Keith Bell won with roughly 82% of the vote against Libertarian K. Nicole Sprabary. 
U.S. Representative District 5, Republican Lance Gooden won with 79% of the vote against Democrat Carolyn Salter. 
U.S. Senator, Republican John Cornyn was reelected with 78% of the vote against Democrat challenger Mary “MJ” Hegar. 
The President and Vice-President race numbers for Henderson County are 78.78% for Republican Donald J. Trump and Michael R. Pence, 19.98% for Democrat Joseph R. Biden and Kamala D. Harris and 0.59% for Libertarian Jo Jorgensen and Jeremy "Spike" Cohen.
