Rough first half sinks Lady Bulldogs

EUSTACE–The Eustace Lady Bulldogs fell in their home contest to the Wills Point Lady Tigers Dec. 1.
Wills Point opened up the game with a 6-0 run before Emma Bell knocked down a jump shot to make it 6-2. 
The Lady Tigers ended the first quarter on a 13-5 run to wrap up the first eight minutes with a 19-7 lead over the Lady Bulldogs. 
Rubi Bailey added an early free throw for Eustace before an offensive rebound by Izzy McCord led to another foul and two more points for Bailey to make it a 22-9 game. Bell added a late three-pointer as Eustace trailed 30-16 at halftime. 
Kierra Abrahamson led off the third quarter with a layup to make it a 30-18 game. After Bell sent a pass ahead leading to a layup by Lyra Landrum, the Lady Tigers ended the third quarter on a 10-0 run to take a 41-20 lead into the fourth quarter.
It was a low-scoring fourth quarter for both teams as Eustace outscored Wills Point 7-6 as the Lady Tigers wrapped up the 47-27 victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
Avery Reeve led the way with nine points for the Lady Bulldogs with Emma Bell notching seven points against the Lady Tigers.
McCord and Abrahamson each added three points in the loss for the Lady Bulldogs.
