Ruie Wynne Preston

Ruie Wynne Preston, 91, of Trinidad passed away Dec. 12, 2021 in Gun Barrel City after complications from a series of falls. She was born Nov. 13, 1930 in Lexington, Okla. and was a resident of Trinidad for 30 years. Ruie was a bookkeeper, homemaker, loving mother, florist and enjoyed making crafts and pies for the bazaar at her church where she has been a member for 24 years. She also taught Sunday school at First Baptist Church in San Angelo for over 18 years. Back in her days in San Angelo and Hurst she was known to throw a mean garage sale in the neighborhood along with several family and friends. She loved spending time with her family. Ruie was preceded in death by her parents William (Bill) Thomas Wynne and Mable Thomas Wynne. She is survived by her husband of 72 years Herman Preston of Trinidad, sons Greg Preston and wife Diana of Argyle and Brad Preston of Fort Worth, daughter Linda Preston Bouma and husband Scott of Bentonville, Ariz., six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 16, 2021. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m., Dec. 16, 2021 at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kristin Rockwell. Internment for the family will follow at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery in Corsicana under the direction of Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff. Pallbearers are Marcus Preston, Jason Harbin, Holden Prince, Chip Prude, Craig Hirschfelt and Mike Lovelace. Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Jordan and Gary Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool
