Ruth “Andrea” Hobin, adoring mother, wife and grandmother, departed her family Sept. 15, 2021, at the age of 62. Andrea was born Aug. 25, 1959, in Jasper, Ala., to Byron Price and Ruth (Key) Roderick.
Andrea’s love for her family spilled from her. It was her greatest honor to hold the title as a daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend. Second to her family, she loved selflessly serving others and the Lord. She was a humble Christian, who devoted herself to walking with the lord.
Andrea spent her free time keeping her nails pretty, reading, completing difficult word games, baking delicious desserts, making wondrous home-cooked meals and shopping.
She loved good movies, watching renown cooking shows and her kitty. Although it really didn’t matter what she was doing, she always brightened up the room.
Andrea was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Lawona Minchew and stepfather Donald Roderich, Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years Jimmy Hobin, son Daniel Mathis, step-children Dawn Spangler, Amy Wilson and Chris Hobin, brothers Ray Price and Lynn Price, sisters Norma Hanna, Kristin St. Ama, Barbara Roderich, Kimberly Alvaredo and Angie Roderick, her beloved cousin Carol Kirby, her loving grandchildren Breanna Manson, Andrew Spangler, Logan Spangler, Kaylynn Wilson, Rowan Mathis and Rylie Mathis and several extended family members.
