Superintendent announces future principal

MABANK–Mabank ISD Superintendent Brad Koskelin introduced the future principal of Central Elementary School Nancy Clark at the April board meeting. Clark, who currently serves as Associate Principal, will take over when current principal Chelsea Capehart retires at the end of this school year.
Capehart, who is beloved by students and parents, has served the Mabank community for 30 years in education, the last nine as principal of Central Elementary. She said her retirement is, “bittersweet. This will be the first time since I was five years old that I won’t be going to school in August. I am excited to see what God has planned for me next.” Capehart plans to continue to be involved in the Mabank community.
Trustees also voted to accept the Request for Proposal (RFP) from the Computer Discount Warehouse – Government (CDW-G) for the purchase of 2,000 Chrome Books for the upcoming school year
In other business, trustees:
• Honored Superintendent Star Students from each campus.
• Honored HS UIL Academic Student, Varsity Girls Volleyball Team, Varsity Boys and Girls Powerlifting Team, Varsity Girls Soccer Team and Varsity Cheer Squad for their achievements and hard work.
• Approved to Submit the Allotment and TEKS Certification form 2022-23 to TEA.
• Heard the restoration of the Annual School Board Member Training Requirements 2021-22.
