Susan Marion Donahue

Susan Marion Donahue passed away peacefully at her son Nick’s home in McKinney March 4, 2020.
Sue was born July 3, 1955 in El Paso. She graduated from the class of 1973 from Eisenhower High School in Lawton, Okla. She graduated from Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the little sisters of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Sue was president of the High School Honor Society and attained the Girls Scouts highest honor, the Gold Award.
Sue showed and bred dogs for years and owned a grooming shop. Sue also raised and sold exotic birds, at one time owning over 400 breeding pairs. Sue was always willing to share her knowledge of pet grooming and care to others.
She maintained a zeal for life and thoroughly enjoyed traveling on her Harley with friends. Being an Army brat, she was quite proud of her families’ long string of military service dating back to the Civil War. Her home away from home was the Seven Points VFW where she had many friends.
She was preceeded in death by her parents LTC Phillip H. and Teresa C. Donahue.
Susan is survived by her son Nick and wife Brandee and two grandchildren Brooklyn and Tyler, as well as her brothers Joe and Jim and her sister Teresa. She is also survived by James Williams whose love and companionship during the last couple years brought Sue much happiness.
Her last wishes were to be cremated and ashes spread from the summit of Mt. Scott in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge near Lawton, Okla.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the VFW Post 4376 located at 209 Veterans Lane in Seven Points, Texas 75143.
