Suspicious vehicle leads to drug arrest

HENDERSON COUNTY–A Chandler man was arrested on drug possession charges after deputies responded to a call reporting a suspicious vehicle in their subdivision.
At approximately 2:50 p.m. June 6, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the Parkside Shores subdivision south of Chandler. Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies Michael Massey and Duane Sanders responded to the call.
Once on scene deputies observed a vehicle which was occupied by Shelby Wayne McGahey, 32, of Chandler,  and a female. A search of the vehicle was conducted and McGahey was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
McGahey was arrested for possession of a controlled substance less than one gram and possession of marijuana less than two ounces and transported to the Henderson County Jail.
Bonds were set at $4,500. Bonds were posted June 7 and McGahey was released.
