TRINIDAD–Sept. 3 Trinidad Police Chief Adam Estes announced in a Facebook post he has submitted his letter of resignation along with Officer McCumsey.
“Let me first start off by saying how proud I am to be able to say that I was fortunate to be apart of such a great city and to interact with the citizens of it,” Estes said. “With that being said, my last day as Chief will be Sept. 25 and Officer McCumsey’s last day with the city will be Sept. 18.”
Estes stated that until the city council finds replacements the Henderson County Sheriffs Office will be covering the city and that Sheriff Botie Hillhouse is available to answer any questions from citizens.
“It has been a pleasure to have been called yall’s Chief and for some, even friend. God Bless and take care.”
