Vivian Bennetta Horton

Vivian Bennetta Horton was born Oct. 20, 1916 in Belgrade, Miss., to parents Eugene Robert and Lottie (West) Breckenridge and entered into eternal rest May 23, 2019 at the age of 102.
Vivian was quite the sports fan. She loved baseball and the “Texas Rangers.” Vivian also collected baseball cards.  In football the “Cowboys” were her favorite. Vivian enjoyed shopping thrift stores and enjoyed reading a good book.
She loved her family and her church family. Vivian was a member of Cedar Creek Bible Church. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Vivian will be missed immensely by those who knew and loved her.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, husband John L. Horton, son Jon Dale Horton, two great-grandchildren and sister Josephine Soden.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Horton Murray and husband Floyd A. Sr. of Kemp, grandchildren Beverly Murray and fiancé Lee Landreth, Jr. of Eustace, Donna Coats of Texarkana, Matthew Jon Murray and wife Jamie of Stratford, Canada, Douglas Eugene Horton and wife Tomo of Camp Zama, Japan and Bree Vandergiff and Boyd of Sherman, great-grandchildren Caitlyn Threadgill and husband Jonathon, Nolan Starling, Caleb Murray, John Levi, Jonathon Horton, Jessica Horton, Gregory Horton, Malcolm John Murray and William James Murray, four great-great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Beverly Norman of Rancho Rios, N.M., other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
