Funeral services for William (Billy) Chase, Jr., was held April 25, 2021 at Anderson Clayton Bros., Kemp with Pastor Wayne Gilcrease presiding.
Billy was born Sept. 30, 1948 to parents William Hyter Chase, Sr. and Blanch Ladell Gilcrease in Dallas.
He grew up a hardworking man that enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sitting on the porch enjoying a glass of iced tea and long talks with his many friends and family.
Billy’s hunting abilities were only matched by his heart. He helped numerous people find a better life during his 26 years of sobriety. He was always there for those he loved. Never shy with a hug and an “I love you” or the life advice you were looking for. He had a story and a lesson for anything you sought.
Billy was preceded in death by parents and brothers Bruce Chase and Everett Chase.
He is survived by his wife Linda Chase of Seven Points, sons Billy Ray Chase and wife Jeri Lynn of Kemp, Danny Wilson and wife Michelle of Galveston, David Wilson and wife Linda of Kemp and Trey Stewart and wife Gerri of Tool, daughters Amanda Varner and fiancé Brandon Sumrall of Tyler, Lisa Stewart and husband Steven Graves of Gun Barrel City and Anna Stewart of Gun Barrel City, grandchildren Angela, Brittani, Daniel, Dustin, Dylan, Christopher, Tabitha “T.J.”, Aiden, Mackenzie, Xander, Xoe, Benjamin and Megan, great-grandchildren Haylee, Wyatt, Paetyn, Kolton, Luna and Jeremy, brother Dale Chase and wife Sharon of Peeltown, sisters Mary Walker and husband Randy of Kaufman and Deborah Jaroszewski and husband Ron of Glen Heights, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
