KERENS–Kerens Police Officer Raymond Ivy drove upon an assault in progress in a public place. Ney-Ney Lowe was physcally assaulting her live-in boyfriend and attempted to hit him with a glass bottle multiple times.
Lowe and her boyfriend were on city owned property and Ivy was working a regular scheduled patrol shift. Ivy drove upon Lowe as she was assaulting her boyfriend who was attempting to flee her attack.
Ivy managed to separate the two and stop the physical aggression. Its still unclear what provoked Lowe to begin the attack on her boyfriend, but it is very clear that she unleased a tremendous amount of anger and rage on the victim.
Lowe was ultimately arrested by Ivy and transported to Navarro County Justice Center and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Lowe remains in custody of Navarro County Sheriff in lieu of posting bond.
