MABANK–The Mabank City Council met in regular session June 6 with Mayor Randy Teague as his first meeting as mayor. He played a clip from June 6, 1944 in which then President Franklin Delano Roosevelt announced D-Day as the U.S Army invaded Normandy, France. Teague asked for remembrance of those Veterans of World War II of which he said, “we are losing (them) at an alarming rate.”
The council approved a final plat for Hoss Machinery International located on the U.S. Highway 175 Service Road adjacent to the RV Park going in in the same area. Hoss Machinery will occupy a 14-acre parcel with seven acres platted for building and display and the other seven remaining agricultural.
Hoss Machinery International currently has a location in Irving, having been in business for 35 years, selling and servicing used construction and mining equipment. According to their website www.hossmachinery.com, they specialize in medium-to- large units including crawler tractors, off-highway dump trucks, mass and hydraulic excavators and shovels, wheel loaders, motor scrapers, motor graders, off–highway water equipment and compactors.

The Explorers operate under Investigator Doss with Mabank Police Department and requested a bank account to deposit funds raised in various fundraisers. The money is used for field trips and other expenses. Authorized signers on the account will be Doss, Mabank Police Chief Keith Bradshaw, Mabank Assistant City Administrator Michael Main and City Secretary Kim McClaskey.
